Fall is here...

Nov 03, 2009
Well, there's nothing bad to report.  Fall is upon us - and almost with a vengeance.  We had little summer, a lengthy and awkward transition into autumn - but it is definitely here.  I watched the leaves on the tree outside the front window of the studio turn from green to yellow and now they're almost gone.

Our studio anniversary has come and gone and we couldn't be happier.  We've got some fantastic clients and friends - and they keep on coming.  It's great to meet and work with new people, develop new relationships and watch the tattoo-work transform from month to month - or more recently - day to day.  I spent three days last week working on the same piece on a client and friend, who travelled all the way from Vancouver to accomplish as much as possible on her tattoo within her "vacation-time."  She's a champion in my books, having sat for a total of fifteen hours of actual tattooing over the three-day span.  You can see her leg - the start of a collection of Greg "Craola" Simkins paintings - in the In Progress section of the site.  The tattoo will still grow upwards and fill the thigh out a little more and there is plenty of colour to come, now that most of the shading is complete.  Check back for updates - and on a side-note, I've got a few more "marathon" sessions coming up over the next few months, so you'll be seeing some cool, new pieces as they unfold.

There are also a few more ongoing projects that I've uploaded into the In Progress section - but there are not many photo updates for this month.

On a different note entirely, we have gift certificates in time for the holiday season.  Know someone with appointment time at Archive?  Want to give em a gift they'll appreciate?  Come on in.  They are available in $50.00 denominations and you can purchase as many or as few as you'd like.  The only thing we ask is that you limit your purchasing to those who already have appointments scheduled with David.

I think we've got a straight run through to Christmas-time - so I should be able to put together at least another update or two and some good news...  Until then, though - goodnight, kids.
